Lorenzo HS Celebrates Cinco de Mayo
May 01, 2009
Come join us on May 5, 2009 for the celebration of Cinco de Mayo. While the holiday is traditionally a Mexican National holiday, Lorenzo ISD has chosen to embrace its Hispanic culture that feeds the school.
"A majority of our students have ties to Mexico and the holiday is important to them. We want them to know that they are important to us, too," Mr. Pickering, the high school principal stated.
The festivities will begin at 11:00 am at the high school patio. High school students will be released at 1:00 to enjoy the celebration. The event will run until 8:00pm.
